From an e-mail I received:

We would like to take this opportunity to announce our Annual Fall Photography Competition and encourage your participation. This year over $5,000 in awards are being offered in three categories. Also, a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and Habitat For Humanity. For complete information please go to our website. And thank you in advance for all your effort and concern.

Our very own Luis Franco is featured in this week’s The Sunday Pinnacle. The article is about the Gilroy Garlic festival. He’s featured as one of the artists on display and gets to share some of his views on his work. We also get a picture of Luis with his camera.

Way to go Luis!

The forest of Nisene Marks is a nearby Redwood forest that would provide numerous photo opportunities. The Pinnacle recently wrote about it in this article, with photographs. The park’s website is here, but I recommend reading the article first to get a feel for this great little photo op in Aptos.
