I buy the occassional issue of Writer’s Journal magazine. It always has a full-color, full-sized photo on the front. Frankly, the photos are a bit amateurish. Looking through an issue the other day, I realized that they have an ongoing contest for cover photo submissions. Any club member who would like an actual magazine credit, go ahead and view their guidelines. The subject matter seems to be wide open, although several issues I’ve seen feature nature shots.

I think every club member has produced photos quite capable of making the cover, so I encourage everyone to enter!

If you want to view an issue of the magazine, the Barnes and Noble in Gilroy carries it in the magazine section, near the photo and art magazines.
